Rules

The rules of the board are simple. aistartups.lol is a transparent discovery board for AI startups, products, and brands. The highest valid bid appears first. No hidden algorithm affects placement.

How ranking works

  • List for $0 or place a paid bid starting at $2. A $0 listing appears in the separate unranked directory below the ranked board and is excluded from Recommended tools. Its owner can later bid without entering the startup again, and the same listing moves into its paid rank and becomes eligible for recommendations.
  • Editorial launch listings start at $1. That seed amount is catalog placement, not a customer payment or payment credit. Claiming an editorial listing requires a new paid bid of at least $2, and checkout charges the full new total.
  • Paid bids move in $1 steps. Bids use whole-dollar amounts. To move ahead of any listing, including the current #1, your total must be at least $1 higher. The current leader can raise its own total in $1 steps.
  • Equal bids stay in the order they were placed. The earlier bid keeps the higher position.
  • Pay only the difference. Your existing paid bid becomes credit. Moving from $50 to $80 costs $30 at checkout. Every checkout is a one-time payment through Stripe.
  • Checkout estimates your rank. The board can move while payment is being confirmed. A listing becomes active only after Stripe confirms payment, and its final rank uses the live board at that moment.
  • Customer-paid placement activates only after Stripe confirms payment and the live board is checked again.
  • If you are outbid, your private Previous bids area shows the amount needed to reclaim your earlier rank or better. Outbid alerts can also use animation and an optional sound.

What you can list

  • AI companies only. Listings must represent a real AI startup, product, or brand with a publicly accessible website. Listings that do not appear AI-related may be labeled “Unrelated to AI” while they are reviewed and may be removed.
  • One company, one listing. HTTP, HTTPS, www, and path variants resolve to one canonical host. Canonical hosts are unique.
  • The secure browser session that creates the free listing or first completes a valid payment manages that listing on this device. Keep the same browser to promote it, access private feedback, and see comeback prices.
  • Misleading, abusive, unsafe, or ineligible listings may be removed.

After you bid

  • A bid determines position only. It is not an endorsement or a guarantee of traffic, customers, funding, or business results.
  • Live traffic comes from DataFast. The masthead shows unique site visitors DataFast has recorded since launch. The count excludes visits where analytics is disabled or blocked. “Online” means a visitor viewed aistartups.lol within the last ten minutes. Listing-row visit counts separately record outbound startup clicks.
  • Checkout details stay private. Public activity uses opaque event identifiers. Checkout-attempt IDs and Stripe identifiers are not exposed in the public feed.

Privacy and analytics

  • Analytics follows a regional choice. In Switzerland, Google Analytics and DataFast stay off and a choice panel appears. In the EEA, United Kingdom, Brazil, and Canada, analytics stays off silently and can be enabled from the footer. Elsewhere it is on by default and can be turned off from the footer at any time. Cloudflare determines only the country policy; if that check fails, analytics stays off without interrupting the page.
  • Your choice lasts for one year. Use the analytics control in each page footer to change it. Turning analytics off removes the Google Analytics and DataFast cookies that this site can access and reloads the page without either analytics script.
  • Discovery requests stay out of analytics. Typed requests, voice transcripts, budgets, requirements, startup URLs, visitor-session identifiers, and Stripe identifiers are not sent to Google Analytics. Reports receive broad demand categories, counts, pseudonymous listing keys, bid values, ranks, and app checkout transaction IDs instead.
  • Voice and recommendations use Deepgram. Voice audio streams from your browser directly to Deepgram using a short-lived access grant. The returned transcript, or your typed request, is then processed through this app by Deepgram's managed OpenAI model provider. The app does not store raw audio or exact request wording; it stores derived demand categories and facets, a pseudonymous session hash, recommendation and click outcomes, and timestamps. Each session opts out of Deepgram's model-improvement program. Do not include sensitive information.
  • Necessary cookies that secure listing ownership, checkout, rate limits, and other requested features remain available even when analytics is off. They are not used for advertising.
